A Church and School Security Assessment and Education Ministry
We made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them. Nehemiah 4:9
Church Security?
Here? Now? Why?
Our country was shocked when we learned about the mass murders in Charleston, SC and Sutherland Springs, TX. But what many people don’t realize is that murderous acts of violence at church have been on the rise for over 10 years.
Consider 2005 when 19 people died violent deaths on church property. Just two years later 39 people were killed, and in 2017, 73 were killed by November.
So what is the solution? Stay home? Watch church on-line? No, we need to recognize danger exists and prepare just as Jesus admonished his disciples in Luke 22:36 when “He said to them, “But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a knapsack. And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one.”
Of course, we need to operate within local, state, and federal laws. Setting A Watch Ministries offers seminars, workshops and site evaluations to help local churches educate themselves on basic security measures so they can implement legal and effective plans to protect their congregations in time of need.
